THE BRIEF

To come up with a low budget activation to launch the new Suunto Traverse, an outdoor navigation watch with GPS, to the Australian Media.

THE IDEA

To properly demonstrate Traverse’s key benefits, we invited key media influencers, both digital and traditional, to a walk from Bondi to Bronte and immersing them with its features along the way. At the end of the walk, media were treated to a lunch with the Suunto team at the Icebergs, Bondi restaurant – to further discuss the new Suunto watch.

THE EXECUTION

11 high caliber journalists from respected, national publications and websites were in attendance on for the event including; MAXIM Magazine, Mens Health, 2GB, PC & Tech Authority & Gizmodo.

THE RESULTS

  • 43 pieces of editorial coverage secured in total
  • A combined ASR figure of $667,722 (based on 42% coverage secured)
  • A total circulation of 2,663,224  (based on 42% coverage secured)
